Descending of the Lord Buddha

Yesterday was a special day in Bhutan, “the descending of the Lord Buddha day”. Most people spend that day by visiting monastery and some sacred places to receive blessing from the lamas and rinpoches since it was a public holiday. That day is also declared as a Mother Day in Bhutan. Each and every monastery held a special ceremony on this occasion around Bhutan. read more
